£18,000 – £21,000 + excellent benefits
Monday – Friday Days
12 month contract
Our client focuses its activity on the discovery and development of innovative products in specifically targeted disease areas. They have a one of a kind reputation.
Due to their recent good fortune they are now looking to recruit an Analytical Development Scientist on a 12 month contract
THE ANALYTICAL DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST
To perform activities in the development, transfer, validation and technical support processes and methods associated with new and existing products.
- Develop and validate analytical methods (including microbiological) to support site projects
- Prepare SOPs and training packages.
- Support studies in collaboration with 3rd parties
- Perform experimentation to support team activities, collate the data and write technical reports
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with cGXP/cGLP/GLP and Health and Safety guidelines.
- Use, HPLC/and UPLC, UV/Vis, protein analytic (ELISA)
The Successful Analytical Development Scientist
- The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or HNC) in a relevant scientific subject and have good experience of working in a pharmaceutical/industrial environment.
- Previous experience of HPLC and/or UPLC analysis (Knowledge of Empower desirable), Classical techniques (e.g. UV/Vis Spectrophotometry, LOD, KF, plate based assays) and Protein analysis (e.g. SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, ELISA) are all required.
